Garden Design

If you would like to have your garden re-designed Caroline will make an initial visit to discuss this with you and show you her portfolio. There is no charge for this visit and following the visit you will be sent a quote for the design fee. This will typically allow for the following :

• A more in-depth discussion about your hopes and aspirations for your garden.
• A site survery, where Caroline takes all necessary measurements and looks at all relevant aspects of the garden. If it is a very complex or large garden a qualified surveyor might be required. This would be discussed with you before arranging.
• Preparation of initial ideas based on our discussions and the garden details.
• Discussion of these sketch plans with you, aided by photos to help you visualise suggested ideas.
• Finalisation of the plans to give you the following :
•                 - Presentation plan which can be in 3D if required 
•                 - A setting out plan for the contractor giving all relevant details
•                 - Design notes or a detailed specification
•                 - Construction drawings and cross sections as required
• Often more than one visit to discuss the plans is required to ensure you are in full agreement with the designs being proposed.
• All drawings are drawn using the latest garden design drawing (CAD) software, which means drawings are accurate and also easy to enhance/amend if required.
• Fees for a full design start at £350 for a small garden. 
  

• If you would just like ideas for aspects of your garden Caroline can create a 'mood board' where she puts together sketches and/or photographs of what could be done.The fee for this starts at £125.
  

Planting Plans

• Planting plans are prepared for all areas to be planted. Again these take into account any discussions with you regarding favourite plants, colours and schemes as well as the growing conditions. All planting plans indicate the latin names of the plants, the numbers required and their position.

Garden Build and Planting

• Your garden can be built by a landscaper/builder of your choice (or by you), alternatively Caroline can introduce you to the landscapers  we use regularly. Caroline can then also monitor the build for you to ensure that the landscapers interpretation of the plans is the correct one.
• The landscapers will build all the hard landscape and install all the features, and if you have chosen to include planting Caroline and her team will carry out this aspect.
